Waste Management

The waste leaves. The paper trail stays.

Medical, sanitary, general and food waste is collected on a schedule that suits your operation and disposed of through licensed treatment facilities. KOVA is licensed to handle and transport waste; every drop-off is logged, and proof of disposal is there when you need it.

Waste We Handle

If it needs to leave your premises legally, we take it

Different waste streams carry different rules. We separate, contain, and dispose of each one as the regulations require.

Medical & healthcare risk waste

Clinical waste from practices, clinics and treatment rooms, contained and collected for incineration at a licensed facility.

Swabs · dressings · contaminated PPE

Compliant sharps containers supplied, sealed on collection and disposed of through the same licensed route.

Needles · blades · ampoules

Expired and unused medication, kept separate from general streams and destroyed, not landfilled.

Expired stock · vials · schedule drugs

Sanitary bins are serviced, and the contents are disposed of through our licensed medical waste route.

Sanitary bins · nappies · wipes

Everyday waste from offices, retail, warehouses and body corporates, collected as often as you need it.

Office waste · packaging · cleanouts

High-volume kitchen and food waste from restaurants, canteens and multi-tenant buildings.

Kitchen prep · plate waste · spoiled stock

Licensed, End-to-End

Licensed to move it. Licensed facilities to destroy it.

Waste is only compliant if the whole chain is. KOVA holds its own licences to handle and transport waste, so your load isn’t handed to an unvetted third party the moment it leaves your gate.

Disposal happens at licensed treatment facilities. BCL handles medical and sanitary waste for incineration. General and food waste goes to Innosense and Sons. Both issue us proof after every drop-off.

How It Works

From first collection to filed certificate, in four steps

01

Assess

We review what you generate, how much, and which streams must stay separate.

02

Set up

We supply the containers and bins you need, sized and labelled for each stream. No scramble to source your own.

03

Collect

Daily, every second day, weekly, or whatever your operation actually runs on. The schedule is built around you, not around our route.

04

Account for it

We log each load and dispose of it at a licensed facility, with documentation available whenever you’re asked for it.

One Provider, One Contract

Pest control and waste management, on the same contract

Most of our waste clients started with pests, or the other way around. Running both through KOVA means one point of contact, one schedule, one invoice, and technicians who already know your building. It also closes the loop: uncontrolled waste draws rodents, flies, and cockroaches in the first place.

Who We Do This For

If you generate waste, we can take it

Clinics, dentists, vets, salons, restaurants, offices, retail, warehouses, body corporates and student accommodation. A small practice filling one sharps container a month and a CBD building with four restaurants in it need very different schedules, and both get one.

Do you supply the bins and containers?

Yes, if you need them. Sharps containers, sanitary bins, general waste containers, sized to your volumes and labelled by stream.

As often as you need. We run daily, every second day and weekly schedules, and we’ll set yours around your volumes rather than a fixed route.

Yes. We log every collection on the Western Cape Government portal, and our treatment facilities provide proof after each drop-off. Ask us for disposal certificates, and we’ll issue them.

We set the schedule, streams, and price upfront, in writing, before the first collection. If your volumes change, the schedule changes with them.

No. We don’t do rubble removal.

Not currently. We service and dispose of sanitary waste, but we don’t offer cleaning services.

Yes, and plenty of clients do. One provider, one schedule, one invoice.
